High School visit to RUF @ college of Charleston
Mark your calendars for Wednesday October 2nd, when we will take our High School students on a visit to College of Charleston’s Reformed University Fellowship (RUF), led by Jacob Lee.
The evening includes dinner at a rooftop restaurant in Charleston with students and staff of RUF.
This is a great opportunity to expose our students to ways they can continue to grow in their faith once they are in their college years—a season of life when far too many young adults decide to stop attending church.
We will meet at Publix at Buckwalter at 4:00 pm, and return around midnight. Yes, it’s a late night, but the students who went last year enjoyed it and were impacted, so we believe that it is worth it!
*Please register here by Monday, September 30th in order for us to make dining reservations!*
Shepherding: Group Leader Training
As you heard at Vision Night, HHPC is starting a new Shepherding Ministry, and the men and women who lead our various Groups (Bible Studies, Community Groups, and Discipleship Groups) are a critical part of our strategy for caring for God's people at HHPC.
As Group Leaders, you are on the front lines of people's lives. You experience the joy of seeing the Spirit's work in their heart, celebrate with them during their high points, and mourn with them at their low points. However, you also sometimes encounter challenges that exceed what you or your group is able to navigate alone. However, the good news is that you don't have to. Our new Shepherding Ministry is designed to support you as you navigate challenging seasons and instances in ministry as a Group Leader.
Join us on Sunday morning, September 22nd at 9:00 AM for a special training time for Group Leaders, facilitated by Michael, Harrison and Sami.
In addition to Group Leaders, other leaders who serve alongside them in our Shepherding Ministry or are interested in learning more are welcome to attend.
Please R.S.V.P. by Friday, September 19th. - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
LOCATION: Ministry / Staff Building at 9:00 AM
Second Saturday: High School Help & Hangout
Parents: Come fellowship, enjoy a meal, and participate in a discussion lead by Doug & Neely Langhals on navigating the challenge of parenting High Schoolers
High Schoolers: come fellowship with other students, eat, play, enjoy

Note that it is required for anyone desiring to serve as an ordained officer at HHPC.

School Supply Drive
Many families of students at Hilton Head Elementary School struggle to purchase necessary school supplies. Teachers are often required to purchase out of their own pockets the supplies their students need in order to learn. We will be distributing bags with a list of desired school supplies after each service on July 28. These filled bags will be collected on Sunday, August 4.
