Rev. Bill McCutchen, Lead Pastor
Bill has been married to Lisa for nearly 25 years. They met at Forest Hill Church in Charlotte, NC, in 1991 and were married in June of 1992. The Lord has blessed them with three great sons: Will (21), Zach (20), and Matthew (16). They have lived in the Carolinas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Hawaii during their married life.
Bill attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS, and graduated with a Masters of Divinity in 1996. Upon graduation he went to Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN, where he worked with the college and singles ministry for four years. After that he planted a church, All Saints Presbyterian, for Second in the Midtown area of Memphis. In 2003, the McCutchen family moved to Highlands, NC, where Bill was on staff at Community Bible Church, working with discipleship, marriages, and families. After two years, the Lord led them to Westminster Presbyterian in Rock Hill, SC, where Bill was part of the preaching team and worked with shepherding ministries.
Bill loves spending time with his family and being with his boys as much as possible. He likes to hunt and fish, and he tries to be as active as he can, playing golf, tennis, and trying to stay in shape.
Rev. Matt Scott, Worship & Arts Pastor
Just a month before his college graduation, Matt and Kristen were married in Mobile, Al. Graduating from the University of Mobile with a dual major in Worship Leadership and Music Performance, their next adventure led them to Boston’s north shore. Matt attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and graduated in 2011 with a Masters of Divinity. He then served with Leadership Transformations, a para-church ministry helping pastors and leaders prioritize the care and nurture of their souls.
While Matt and Kristen lived in the Boston area, they launched The 2654 Project, their collective efforts of photography and music. In January of 2013, Matt released his most-recent album of repurposed hymns, titled Poets & Saints.
Matt enjoys running, cycling, carpentry, a good cup of coffee and collecting hymnals. He and Kristen have a silver Labrador named Stella.
Rev. Tim Pitzer, Student and Families Pastor
Tim attended Clemson University where he met his wife, Stephanie. After serving as the Youth Director at Clemson Presbyterian Church, they moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to attend Reformed Theological Seminary. He has served as a pastoral intern at Cross Park Church and has worked for The Life Book Movement, an organization that trains youth pastors to mobilize their students to become missionaries in their public schools.
He enjoys cycling, coffee, and spending time with students. Stephanie enjoys graphic design, running, and using her artistic gifts to encourage others.
Rev. Andrew Shank, Discipleship Pastor
After graduating from NC State with the unlikely combination of degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Religious Studies, Andrew served as an RUF Intern at Virginia Tech. Two years later, continuing to sense a call to ministry, he moved to Charlotte, NC to attend Reformed Theological Seminary. In January of his first year, he met Trish, and they were married that September. While in seminary, Andrew served as the Intern for Young Adults at his church, a TA for one RTS’s New Testament professors, and a handyman with his dad’s construction business while Trish taught Spanish and coached Cross Country.
Together, they enjoy walking in their neighborhood, camping, board games with friends, movies and music, and reading in their hammocks on Sunday afternoons. They are amateur gardeners, and aspire to have chickens someday.
